Negative pregnancy test: Can I still be pregnant?

Pregnancy tests are not 100% accurate - sometimes they can show a negative result even if you’re pregnant. This situation is rare, but the reasons for it can be as following: 

If your period is late and you have other symptoms of early pregnancy, but the test shows only one line, you could still be pregnant. 

You might get a false negative pregnancy test if you:

When taking a pregnancy test, make sure it is dry and check the date on the package. 

Retake the test in a few days if your period still hasn’t arrived. 

If you’re still experiencing early pregnancy symptoms, your period hasn’t arrived, and you’re worried, see your doctor ASAP to clear things up and find out what the possible reason for this could be.
