Your breasts might be amazing at predicting the start of your period, but it doesn’t feel very good.
In fact, this happens because of the hormonal changes that a woman’s body undergoes each month during her menstrual cycle.
Just before menstruation, estrogen and progesterone start to decrease and this leads to swelling and soreness of your breasts. As the woman approaches menopause, these aches can go away, but it’s not the case for everyone. Here are a couple of ideas that you can use to reduce breast pain during your period. Consume less sugar, salt, caffeine and milk. Pain relievers can also help. Regular mild exercise (not running though) can also help you, as it will strengthen your muscles.
Remember to log your breast sensations in the MIA app and call your GP in the event of worsening of the symptoms.
