Yes, there is even more than 1 way to relieve nausea during your period.  And yes, there may be more than one reason you are feeling sick today.

Feeling sick or vomiting during your period is, of course, really unpleasant, but a common symptom of many women’s cycles, though.

Who is to blame?

Your hormones, of course! They change every single cycle, and these fluctuations affect the way you feel.

  1. The hormone prostaglandin is released during a woman’s monthly cycle. Sometimes some part of it can get into the bloodstream, making you feel nauseous during your period. That is why some women may experience vomiting, diarrhea, and headaches during their menses.

Sometimes hormonal fluctuations make the stomach overproduce gastric juices containing hydrochloric acid.

This can also cause mild heartburn, or, in extreme cases, vomiting. The stomach can be provoked to secrete more gastric juice after menstrual cramping.

2. Genetics. Some women are more likely to have nausea during their menstruation than others. Additionally, scientists say that women with pain-related diseases are more prone to period-related nausea.
