IMPORTANT! Gynecologists do not recommend using panty liners every single day, but only on those days when vaginal discharge is heavier, such as spotting at the very start or very end of a period or ovulation. Here’s why:
If the panty liner is not changed every 3-5 hours, it may create an environment for bacteria near the vulva. This bacteria may enter your body and lead to bacterial vaginosis.
If scented, panty liners may cause irritation and allergies in the vulva area. Itching, redness and unpleasant sensations are the main signals that you’re suffering from an allergic reaction.
If not changed at the right time, panty liners with non-fabric materials may cause the so-called greenhouse effect near the vulva.
